On a G4/500 running OS 10.3.5, it didn't take long to load, and ran well (you do need to keep the CD in, although a disk image might work). My nephews have always liked to draw, and they spent most of their time in the art module (20 colors, 3 brushes, an airbrush, "stickers", eraser, and coloring book).
